"Dental filling role in erectile dysfunction" - one of the search terms that led to my blog.

If someone out there is searching for that and finding my blog, then I might as well write an actual post about it so that it's even easier for people to find.

This is only my opinion, based on my own experiences with composite resin dental fillings.

It is my opinion that yes, plastic dental fillings can cause erectile dysfunction.  Immediately after I got my plastic dental fillings, I began having hot flashes, severe mood swings, and severe breast pain.  That is when I began researching bisphenol-A.  I myself did NOT have noticeable problems with anorgasmia (I am female) after getting the dental fillings; however, I have a friend who developed erectile dysfunction more severely than ever before during the time period when he had a plastic catheter inserted into his chest for a few months, and his erectile dysfunction improved after the plastic catheter was removed.  So I suspected that the plastic catheter might have contained bisphenol-A and might have caused the worsening of the erectile dysfunction.

If the plastic dental fillings can cause so many other hormone-related problems, then I think they are very likely to cause erectile dysfunction in some people.

For a variety of reasons, I haven't been able to start cooking at home and testing the diets that are used to remineralize damaged teeth.  I want to remineralize my own teeth and I also want to remove both of my dental fillings completely and not replace them with any other type of fillings, but will instead leave the cavities open.  This experiment is postponed as I have had severe chronic fatigue and can't do any projects or cook at home.  But I will be testing this in the future.

Well if a man is full of xenoestrogens hard to get an erection there!
Maybe phlalates not BPA. Could be both. They are both petrochemical plastic hormone altering evils . Reactions to medical plastics is a known. It appears remineralization helps with sensitive teeth too. Reading about it a little I wonder if the fillings I have are still offing chems in my mouth. I am detoxing for estrogens and petrochemical exposure and feel better as opposed to wore but still have breast pain and other estrogen related reactions.
Alternatives for some hospital/medical products are available but what sucks is you need to have a reaction first, and then know which of the hundreds of plastic compounds is doing it to you, to ask not to use it next time....

In the United States, one fourth of all plastic medical products are
made of polyvinyl chloride, including most IV bags and tubing [1]. A
chemical added to polyvinyl chloride plastic (PVC) to make it soft and
pliable can leach from IV bags [2] and tubing [3A-B] into blood [4A-B]
or medications [5A-C] being administered into a patient's veins. Like
PVC children's toys, vinyl IV bags and tubing need chemical additives
called phthalates to make the stiff plastic more flexible. Phthalates
are not bound to the PVC molecules in the plastic, making it easy for
these chemicals to migrate out of the PVC IV bag or tubing and into
the solution they contain [6].

The chemical added to PVC, di-2-ethylhexyl-phthalate (DEHP), has been
identified by the United States Environmental Protection Agency as a
probable human carcinogen [7]. Scientific studies have shown that DEHP
may also damage the heart [8], liver [9A-E], testes[10A-D], and
kidneys [11] and interfere with sperm production.

Yeah, and I wonder how many people this actually happens to - probably a lot, and a lot of them don't make the connection to realize that it started when they got their fillings...

I read about phthalates before but I never remembered what they were. For some reason the only one I ever remember is BPA.

I was wondering, what kind of detox are you doing? I don't know much about detoxing. I know I got scared by the descriptions of how people do mercury detox, but I never read about petrochemical detox. Do you mean you're just keeping an eye on your symptoms as the stuff gets out of your body, or are you doing something else?

As for phthalates in medical equipment... it makes me wonder whether I might have been harmed by donating plasma. I had a lot of weird symptoms during the time when I was doing that. It uses disposable tubes that your blood goes through and then the blood gets put back in your body. Somebody told me that the blood thinner might have caused my symptoms, but I wonder if the plastic tubes could also do something bad to you, as you said, when something leaches out of them into the blood going through the tube.

I wish I knew what we could do instead. I've wished for more bottles and packages made out of glass. Paper might be okay except that a lot of paper contains unwanted chemicals in it too. We could even use things like leaves, the way primitive tribes used to do to wrap their food. But I honestly don't know a good answer for what to do about food packaging.

I wonder how many people out there are buying Viagra and other drugs because they have problems being caused by BPA.

You mentioned green tea triggering the breast pain. I have had some weird reactions to green tea too. I can't remember what it did to me because it's been so long since I drank any. While reading this, all I can say is, thank goodness I don't have to deal with a major chemical exposure like the oil spill. I don't even want to think about what it would be like if something was trapped in your fat or in your bone marrow and it would flood your body all over again every time you burned up fat or lost weight. You mentioned an orange and banana gave you a reaction. I wonder if they had pesticides on them or something? Or the fruit itself. It could be anything. And yeah it does make you more hypersensitive to small amounts of it, if you're already having too much of it from the fillings, so you're noticing reactions you never had to worry about before... that sounds like my situation too.

I agree about not giving your daughter braces... I had braces, and here is what they did: they extracted four of my permanent teeth (and I'd rather have them back, now!), and then, after all the teeth have moved and shifted their positions in the mouth, it leaves the gums all loose and saggy around the bases of the teeth, so that all the roots are exposed, and you have a 'receding gumline,' except that it didn't just happen by itself, it happened because of moving the teeth around. I would rather just have crooked, misaligned teeth.

The other thing that I read somewhere about large breasts and dense breasts was that they were connected to air pollution. The people doing mammograms noticed that the women who lived in the cities had much denser breasts than women living in other areas, and somebody traced it to the chemicals in air pollution. I think that might explain obesity, too, at least some of it. I'm always interested in what causes obesity.

What bothers me most about the polluted oceans is that I really would like to try eating things like fish livers because they contain so much more vitamins than the rest of the fish. But people don't eat fish organs because they usually contain chemicals and other things, like mercury, from the pollution.

You talked about the workers in the factories. People are trying to get a job ANYWHERE and if it's a higher paying job they'll take it even if it's toxic and dangerous, but they don't know how dangerous it is until it's too late. Everyone just goes into denial and they're thinking, it can't possibly be THAT dangerous. I feel sorry for them too, and I'm glad that I still have some choice about where I work.

JEEEZ butchered your mouth ! what trauma at early age and WTF for?? to give you receding gumline before old age??? How good can that be for oral health?
I have read where teeth keep returning back to the old spots after being moved- would that not be a hint to folks this just aint what nature intended ?

however I understand if you have a true severe deformity that bracing would help but in most cases this is not the fact uuugh the price of beauty I guess or oral superiority, whatever the sell....

Not that you were not already very beautiful just the way nature presented you to this earth. And I have crooked teeth -never had anything I could not eat still have healthy gums too

I hate these mantras they use to sell crap. You mouth won't close correctly - you will look"better" whiten your teeth make your breath fresh

My feeling is the extra teeth may have some genetic advantage in the future who knows??? Yea everything I read now I do not want to do her teeth
and I will just lie and tell people we can not afford it if they ask

......I would eventually like to move away from main stream society and what it has become -some where that these false impressions of what is important about a person are not so strong ,
My husband always jokes Amish?? Mennonite?? communities,,,,but to be serious there must be some inbetween not to
that extreme or tied to a religion. We may examine " The Farm" in TN this summer.

Guess I havent sucked on enuf exhaust pipes I have little bumps of boobs but I still have the pain in them

Of all the replies i got (3) asking for help or resolve on the breast pain, I still do not know what to do. One suggested I get a blood test to make sure my adrenals and thyroid have not caused some of the triggers like the pain so I got online and did that today myself at a lab.

A women who works with chem sens people has a free hotline I will be calling her today

.She works on donations so I will give her something for her time

As for others ,some wanted 250$ for 15 mins and who knows what they will say? so can not afford that right now.
I would like to get the fillings out but most claim it is how you process the fillings material that is the problem but

the next step is replacement with Holistore which is suppose to be the least
harmful but I am afraid at this point it is circulating in my body now and too late for that ...........as I said still do not know what to do!!!!!!

Thanks for all your help on this matter and so sorry you became an expert on braces and plastic fillings > the hard way...

.guess I am lucky to have made it this far in life with out main stream medicals doing any number on me..but the last 5 yrs with the medication reaction putting me in the hospital and now the fillings I strive to stay away even more although I would like some resolve for the breast pain
This is why I used a midwife when I had a child
pregnancy is not a disease and does not need a doctor only someone wise about the ways of child birth
it is lower now than original but still a pain

You're going to think I'm joking about this, but I'm not. A while back, I bought a small set of 'diamond burrs,' little drill bits covered in diamond dust, and I was going to try to drill the fillings out myself by hand. I wanted to buy my own dental drill, but I had a hard time understanding what you needed to buy, because it looks like you don't just buy the drill, you also need this big thing that it hooks up to, and it all together costs over $1,000. So I thought I would try to hand-drill the fillings out myself.

I bought the smallest, thinnest drill bits that I could. I tried to get ones that were close to the size of dental drill bits. I only got something cheap, and I was just going to try it and see if it could make a dent in the plastic fillings at all. I didn't use an electric drill. I just held the drill bit, all by itself, and then twisted it by hand against the plastic filling to see whether I could penetrate the plastic at all. I did actually scratch it a tiny bit, but it took a long time and was very hard to do.

So I considered the possibility of getting a hand-cranked drill - NOT an electric one. I would use something that wasn't too strong or too fast, so that I could easily control it. (And really, I am not joking.) I haven't gotten one yet because I haven't been working on this project in a while. But I do want to have them removed before I get pregnant. So I will work on this again in the future, and the next thing that I do will be to get some kind of hand cranked drill as I said. A non-electric drill that only turns slowly. I would need one that could be angled to fit in my mouth.

The only fear I have about drilling them out myself is that I think there might still be some of the metallic filling remaining underneath my plastic filling in the molar. He removed my old filling, but I don't think he removed it very well, because on rare occasions, I can still taste the flavor of metal coming out of that tooth, the way I could when the metal filling was there. I don't want to try drilling through a metal filling by hand, and I also don't want to get exposed to crumbs and dust from it if I am successfully able to drill it.

I talked with an expereinced chem sens person today in Dallas has a free hotline
she told me to get the fillings out and told me to looK at a website of dr cook in wisconsin
he could help me it is not too late She was aghast about how the amalgam was taken out of the fillings and said they s hould have used porcelien on me but its not only the filling underneath there are adhesives and Iforgot what else she said you could be allergic to any of them
so I will see what rabbit hole that leads me down now. I also have stopped all supplements as they seemed to make me sicker. And just eating normal food n as othing really was helping but I gave it a try and it lessened the breast pain but left me with digestive issues-new-

Try oil pulling in the morning to get the bpa out of your blood.

I too have 7 plastic fillings, i plan to either remove them myself or replace them with gold.

Fasting would probably help also.

Protease, Amylase, Lipase, Cellulase, Maltase etc are the major digestive enzymes found in our body.

Research shows that prebioticsmay also play a role in
healthy weight loss. Not every person with digestive issues needs to be on enzyme supplements.
